Admission Requirements
Basic Requirements
1.Non-Chinese citizens holding valid foreign passports friendly to China, and with no criminal records.
2.Postgraduate students generally should not exceed 32 years old and are required to have obtained a bachelor's degree.
Nationality Requirements
1.Residents of the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, who immigrated to a foreign country and apply as international students, must have become foreign citizens before April 30, 2020 and must have lived abroad for more than 2 years, dating from April 30, 2020 to April 30, 2024 (more than 9 months residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, subject to the entry and exit customs stamp).
2.If the applicant became a foreign national at the time of birth, and both parents are Chinese citizens, or if one of the parents is a Chinese citizen, the applicant's parents (the Chinese citizen side) must have acquired permanent residency in a foreign country before the applicant's birth, and the applicant must have lived abroad for more than 2years, dating from April 30, 2020 to April 30, 2024 (more than 9 months residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, subject to the entry and exit customs stamp).
Language Requirements
The applicants must meet one of the following conditions:
1.English is the native language or official language;
2.Obtain TOEFL iBT score of 78 or above, IELTS(Academic) 6.0 or above, Duolingo 100 or above, or an equivalent score in other internationally recognized English proficiency tests;
3.Have obtained an academic certificate in a country where English is the native language;
4.If unable to provide standardized English test scores, applicants must take the English test organized by the University.
Application Procedure
1.Application period: April 15th, 2024 to June 30th, 2024;

3.Login in and create your account;
4.Fill in the personal information correctly and upload the required documents;
5.Save and submit;
6.Wait for the admission result (please refer to“The inbox” in the online application system. The review process normally takes 15-20 working days.)
Application Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following application documents through online application system:
1.A passport-sized electronic photo taken within the past six months;
2.Scanned copies of passport, academic transcripts, and graduation certificate (applicants who have not graduated at the time of application must provide a pre-graduation certificate);
3.Scanned copy of language proficiency certificate or screenshot of the test score (for students whose native orofficial language is not English);
4.Study and research plan;
5.Proof of financial support;
6.Scanned copy of the non-criminal record certificate (valid for six months);
7.Physical examination form for foreigners (valid for six months);
8.Other documents that may be required by HZCU.
Note 1: Applicants who are now studying in China need to providea valid study type residence permit.
Note 2: The above application documents must be in Chinese or English, and notarized copies of translations must be provided for documents in other languages.
Fee
Application Fee: RMB 400 (payable at the time of online registration. Application fee is non-refundable)
Tuition: RMB 18,000 per academic year
Accommodation fee: RMB 3200 per student per academic year
Payment method: Bank remittance or Alipay
Insurance
As required by the China's Ministry of Education, international students coming to study in China must purchase the insurance in China. The minimum standard for insurance fee is RMB 800 per year. Those who fail to purchase the required insurance can not be registered and will be required to leave the country within a specified period.
