Academic Programs: The School of Business was established in June 2004, combining the Management Department (established in 1999) and the Economics Department (established in 2000). It has two first-level disciplines: Business Administration and Applied Economics. Business Administration is a top-tier discipline in Zhejiang Province, Applied Economics is a key discipline in Hangzhou. The School comprises three departments: Business Administration, International Finance, and Applied Economics. It offers four undergraduate programs: Business Administration, Financial Management, Finance, and Digital Economy. Notably, Business Administration is a top-tier program in Zhejiang Province, and Financial Management is a provincial distinctive program and Finance is recognized as a university-level top-tier and brand major.

Talent Cultivation: The School adheres to the philosophy of interdisciplinary and cross-specialization education, aiming to nurture a new generation of business talents with high-quality, strong practical and innovative abilities and international vision. Our educational outcomes are remarkable. Currently, the school has over 1,600 full-time undergraduate students and has contributed more than 16,000 business professionals to society. In the past five years, the school has cultivated a total of 4,430 graduates, achieving an average initial employment rate of 94.61% and a rate of further study at home and abroad of 23.01%. Additionally, students have won 141 awards in student academic competitions at the provincial level or above, including 14 national awards.

Faculty Team: Through both importing and cultivating talents, the School has built a faculty team with a rational structure and tremendous potential. The School currently employs 111 faculty members, including 79 full-time faculty members. there are 12 professors, 22 associate professors, and 61.54% of them have doctoral degrees. Our esteemed faculty includes one recipient of the Zhejiang Province Talent Recruitment Program, one leading young scholar in Zhejiang Province, and one outstanding young talent under the Zhejiang Provincial University Leading Talent Program. Additionally, we have six teachers recognized by the "Zhejiang Province 151 Talent Project," 17 by the "Hangzhou 131 Talent Project," three as part of the Zhejiang "Qiantang Youth" social sciences scholars action plan, and three under the Hangzhou Special Support Training Program. Furthermore, 10 of our teachers have been included in the Hangzhou Social Sciences Outstanding Young Talent Cultivation Plan.

Scientific Research and Social Services: the School is dedicated to actively integrating into the national strategies of "Digital China" and "Green Development", and aligns closely with the School's focus on "Digital+," "Urban+," and "Application+." It has established key research bases such as the "Digital Transformation and Corporate Social Responsibility Research Center" accredited by the Hangzhou Philosophy and Social Sciences, the inaugural research base of the Qiantang River Science and Technology Think Tank "Research Institute on Sustainable Development of Characteristic Towns," and the soft science research base "Digital Finance Research Institute" approved by the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province. The school also hosts seven school-level research centers/institutes, including the Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business Research, the SME and Industrial Cluster Research Center, the Financial Research Center, the Modern Service Industry Research Center, the Asset Operation Research Center, the Transnational Business Research Center, and the Investment Evaluation Research Institute. Additionally, the School maintains two key laboratories in Hangzhou–the Business Information Analysis Lab and the Regional Economic Development and Evolution Simulation Lab. The School has established research platforms like the Hangzhou "Dual-Carbon" Research Center, the Digital Finance Research Institute, and the China State-Owned Assets and Enterprises Research Institute. We are equipped with first-class experimental facilities spanning over 2,000 square meters in total area and have over a hundred teaching practice bases, offering practice opportunities for students conveniently. Over 20 high-quality research reports, such as "Digital Reform 'Small Window' to Promote the Grand Strategy of Common Prosperity in Urban and Rural Areas," have received provincial and ministerial-level approval and comments from the central leadership. The School is actively engaging in strategic cooperation with dozens of government departments, listed companies, and large state-owned enterprises, such as the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, HUATIE, PANSHI, Zhejiang Communication Service Holding Group Company, Zhejiang Provincial Energy group company, Suncha Technology Company and Sunon, constantly expanding our network of strategic partnerships.
