Do you want to see what the future of China looks like? It can be a bustling city with busy streets, vibrant nightlife, and prosperity. It can also be a village with vast fertile fields, lush greenery, and vibrant life.
Zhejiang, a pioneering province in China, provides us with a sample for studying Chinese villages.
Recently, the video series "For Those Who Care About Rural Development in China," produced by the China Yangtze River Delta Documentary Creation Research Center, landed on multiple platforms including Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, China News Service, China.com, Xuexi Qiangguo, Zhejiang TV Z Vision, Hangzhou Daily, Netease Video, etc. In its first week, the video surpassed 1 million views online, with a total online spread of 1.09 million, and 125,000 views on Xinhua News Agency.
To make this series more widely known and to raise awareness of and focus on the development of Chinese villages, the Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Social Sciences commissioned HZCU to carry out the promotion of the series. The China Yangtze River Delta Documentary Creation Research Center undertook the task of producing promotional videos for the series, along with the School of Journalism and Communication and Happy City Institute.
Eleven highly representative villages, a four-minute main promotional film, five one-minute short videos... Behind these seemingly simple numbers lies the countless efforts and sweat of the creation team, with production taking a year to complete.
During the filming process, in order to authentically reproduce the content of the book and showcase the rich terrain and landscapes of Zhejiang Province, the creation team overcame various challenges such as long distances, vast geographical areas, large teams, and heavy equipment. The team, consisting of over 30 people including the director team, expert team, camera team, light team, and others, traveled to 11 villages, covering over 300 kilometers, trekking through mountains and rivers, and tirelessly moving around.
